Architectural metals have countless surfaces and colors, and can be crushed and polished to produce precise, stringent tolerances, providing designers with an infinite range of applications.
"For us, metal is the material of our time, it turns architecture into sculpture." said structuralist architect Frank Gehry.
At the request of fans, today I will focus on sharing several cases of perforated aluminum panels. In every city around the world, aluminum panels and other architectural metals are generated in fiery furnaces, enhancing the confidence of modern architects to build taller, bolder, and more expressive buildings.
Case 1: Bietfeld Audi Store

This Audi store is located in Bietfeld, Germany, featuring a custom perforated pattern of 61.5mm*26mm, arranged in a staggered manner, with approximately 50% of the area being hexagonal perforations. This design not only reduces the weight of the facade but also presents a three-dimensional relief effect, providing an additional visual experience. The 2mm thick perforated aluminum panel is precisely cut into a 2.5m*0.75m corrugated sheet and then anodized to a bright silver color.

Case 2: MAISON DU PORTUGAL

MAISON DU PORTUGAL is located in the International University City of Paris, with its perforated aluminum panel facade shaped into a hazy "veil." The 3mm thick perforated aluminum panels present a mushroom pattern through varying densities of perforations, matching the surrounding Portuguese-style environment.

Case 3: Oslo Opera House

The facade of the Oslo Opera House uses a total of 9,000 square meters of aluminum panels, with the surface displaying a complex pattern of varying sizes of convex and concave dots. The relief and concave dots are repeated continuously, and this design won the cultural category award at the first World Architecture Festival in 2008.
